Hi:
the visual editor project (http://eclipse.org/vep) is a hot project that
provides visual WYSIWYG editors. We are looking for volunteer help:

- a build manager: taking care of putting the build system back in shape,
setting up continuous integration, build reporting and making weekly and
milestones releases. Pde build experience preferred, but we can help if you
do not know squat about it.
You will also be interacting closely with the EMF team that offered to help
us by using their awesome build system.

- a documentation manager: taking responsibility for the whole tech writing
for the project and software documentation, web site, and wiki. Blogging is
a plus.

- a support manager and bug triage master: we have 600+ open bugs and need
someone to be our triage master, the first line of interaction with users in
troubles. This include also doing bug research and answering questions on
the mailing lists and news groups, as well as IRC.

- an evangelist and love manager: you will be in charge of plugging the
project via blog posts, mailing lists, news groups, IRC, screencasts,
tutorials, articles, conferences presentations and demonstrations. Anything
to spread the love of the visual editor. (perk: sometimes, we may even get
some free passes to cool tech conferences)

If you think you can help, but know suat about Eclipse or VE, you need not
appply. But if you know a little, this wuld go a long way. The whole team
will be there to help and make you successful.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All volunteers are warmly welcomed.
You will get the opportunity to do good, and get the eternal recognition
from the community. This is not an exclusive job. You have the opportunity
to work on other stuffs too commercial or open source, even while on the
job.

We do not pay squat, this is all volunteer. But this is cool and fun!

Those four positions are very important to the project. If you are serious
about it please join us on the ve-dev mailing list and introduce yourself:

Hi Phillippe.

I am interested in your project and would like to join you, even though
I see at the bottom that the pay is not very good. :)

I have been working with Java and eclipse for a long time and I have
also worked on UI tools like VE.

I will have a look on the mailing list. I think I could help you with
the build system initially, I have developed my own and I also use
several such as cruise control, continuum, etc. I have also used ant,
maven, etc. I don't know how you do your builds.

Regards
Nick

PS I use VE, it is great.
