Do you mean "perspectives", as in the Debug and Java perspectives?
WTP shouldn't affect your ability to debug other than making it
easier to debug JSP files and Servlets.

yes, I can debug only in "debug perspective". In every other perspective
line with breakpoint isn't highlithed, hovewer applications stops. I
cannot step. Sometimes it happens even in debug perspective, then I must
dig through process list and click "stopped on line ..." and then
breakpoint line is highlithed and I can debug
