I am using ubuntu 12.10 ,

i am developing android applications,

in this eclipse is very slow for XML files,

it takes 30sec-1 min to open and edit files.

Java files are quicker than this.

i had updated upto latest release of juno still no use.

please help me to solve this.

I suppose this is using the XML editor provided by the Web Tools
project? Perhaps there are some preferences you can disable. E.g.,
perhaps validation is enabled and the instance file is trying to load
some very large schema files from the internet... Just a though,
because I'm not sure this sounds in related to e4, although I vaguely
recall that the XML editor did have some issues with performance in e4
that have perhaps been addressed in the Kepler release, so if you can
switch to that, that would be better.

I'm not 100% sure, but AFAIK there were performance issues for XML editing in Juno. That is correct. But they should have been solved with one of the service releases? Which service release of Juno are you using? And why don't you update to Kepler? There several performance issues should have been solved too.

I don't think there is an update for new versions. I'll suggest to install a new instance by downloading Eclipse Kepler here http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/
And install your necessary plugins again for the Kepler release.
