Is there any easy way to to package a dynamic web application into a
..WAR file? I know this can be done by hand writing a Ant build script
but is there an easier way through the IDE?

FYI:
Java 1.5.06
Eclipse 3.1.2
WTP 1.0.2

Yes

Right Click on the project -> Export -> Web -> WAR file
