I wrote a java program (jar file) on an old macbook, transferred the program to a new macbook (via email), and the old macbook was restored to factory settings. I did not change/rewrite any of the program on my new macbook; I only tested it.

Is there any way to recover the resource.tar.gz file with all the edits that were written on my old macbook?

Thanks

You may need to give more context. What is a resource.tar.gz file, why would you expect that it would have an edit history in it, and how this is related to Eclipse.

The only way to access a file that was on a wiped system would be to get it out of a backup.
