Hi,

Does anyone have any information about M2T Core and M2T Shared?
What is the purpose of these frameworks?

The M2T websites states that these frameworks will be released in June,
but there is no available milestone releases.

Regards

Henrik

Henrik:

The provisioning and legal clearances of the M2T components has taken longer
than expected. The plan is out of date - I will update it.

The intention of M2T Core is to provide a template language independent
mechanism for invoking model-to-text transformations. Consumers of a
model-to-text transformation can be independent of a particular template
language.

The intention of M2T Shared is to provide common infrastructure to for the
template languages in M2T. Candidate technologies include things like basic
User Region preservation tools as well as EMF JMerge techonlogy.

Here a quick rundown of the revised plans:

Jun 2007 - M2T 0.8 - will include only JET 0.8

Fall 2007 - M2T 0.9 - will add xPand and MTL, plus a first implementation of
M2T Core

Jun 2008 - M2T 1.0 - full release in sync with Ganymede, the next Eclipse
co-ordinated release.
