SDK/RT Source - which tag to checkout [message #1101577]

I want to start familiarising myself with the RT and SDK source.

I have cloned the following projects from http://git.eclipse.org/c/scout

org.eclipse.scout.rt
org.ecipse.scout.sdk

I would like to work on the latest stable codeline, which tag should I check out? Should I go for the Kepler Release Candidate, Kepler_RC4?

Also, after checking out the appropriate tag, what other steps are needed to set up a development environment? Checking out Kepler_RC4, and importing the projects results in thousands of errors in the problem view suggesting to me that I need to set up some other dependencies.

I just review the page, if you do not want to contribute something, you just need:
* 1.6 Getting the Sources
* 1.7 Compiling in Eclipse

For the tags:
* Kepler_RC4 is the Kepler EPP package from June (with Scout 3.9.0)
* In september there will be an update - Kepler SR1 (Scout 3.9.1), the code is on the release/3.9.1 branch, you can already see some tags for the RC releases.
* On the develop branch, we have started the Luna milestones (Scout 3.10.0)

This morning I was still getting lots of build errors. I'll take another look this evening and report back on the exact steps I followed.

I've fixed the build errors by adding external jars for jms, javamail and jaxws.
