Hi,

I would like to develop my own validation constraints for some UML models.
Nevertheless, must I develop a new GMF editor as suggests the screencast named 'Constraints in GMF editors with EVL' ?

Thank you so much for your answer.

Have a nice day !

Hi,

You shouldn't need to implement your own UML GMF editor. Which editor are you currently using?

Cheers,
Dimitris

Hi Dimitris,

I'm using Topcased UML editor.

Hi,

I don't have much experience with Topcased I'm afraid. In any event, EVL hooks into the EMF Validation framework so if the UML editor provides integration with the latter, you'll only need to create an integration plugin as in [1] with the only difference that in step 4 instead of "filesystem" you will need to use the nsURI of the version of UML supported by the editor (and the respective markerTypes - but this is only required if you need support for quick fixes). I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Dimitris

I've seen what you mean in this tutorial.
Nevertheless, the Topcased UML editor seems escaping from this schema.
I'm continuing my investigation by getting in touch the topcased community.

I hope coming back soon with good news.
