I am an utter neophyte to Eclipse, but have been asked by my company to
research the AJAX Toolkit Framework project to see if this is something that
we might be interested in becoming involved with.

I have read through the ATF proposal and I currently have one burning
question:

Will there be a concomitant effort to develop a set of standards or
interfaces that AJAX Runtime providers will need to adhere to before they
can play nicely within the ATF? Or will it be possible to create a
"Personality" for an AJAX Runtime without altering the native interfaces
exposed by the AJAX runtimes? If standards are involved, what standards
body will participate in creating these?

Carlos,

Sorry for the late reply. The answer to your question is that ATF is
intended to develop Personalities around existing runtimes without
modification, although only a limited number of runtimes (and limited
set of features) have been included thus far, and accomodating others
may be an iterative process.

Regards,
Adam
