When you import Maven module projects into Eclipse it will create a project for the parent, and then will create separate projects for the modules.
The team provider for Subversion shows modified/conflicted decorators and makes available many, if not all, Team features in the module projects. This was very convenient.
While all git Team features may not be relevant for the module projects, things like modified/conflicted decorators in project explorer, show in history, and annotations would be great to have while working in the module project. Right now you have to leave the module project, visit the top-level-parent project, and do all things git from there.
