Hi
I created report project in Eclipse Birt with some reports (Version: 4.3.0., Windows 7)
The data source is an Oracle database on Linux server. In the WEB viewer, the reports display with data ok.
Runtime for Birt is Tomcat server (7.0.42-Linux), Oracle DB is the same.
I installed BIRT viewer, sample report displays ok, but my reports do not display for error:
Cannot open the connection for the driver: org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.dbprofile. ...

I copied ojdbc14.jar (with its directory) from pc to the directory:
/home/apache-tomcat-7.0.42/webapps/BIRT-Viewer/WEB-INF/lib/org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_4.3.0.v201306041519/drivers, but error remains:
I am a newbie in Birt, please help.
Stack trace:

Sorry for the delay. Take a look at this:

I used connection profile right in this reports.
I changed path for jodbc.jar in xml definition of reports (reports are from Windows)
and I set JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Dorg.eclipse.datatools_workspacepath=/apache-tomcat-7.0.42/tmpdir", where tmpdir is a new empty directory.
Reports display in viewer ! Thanks you very much.

I have read the link about Connection Profiles, but I don't know how to make it work. I have try to change environment variable in Windows Systems (Control Panel) and set this 2 variables:

SET java.io.tmpdir=C:\apps\apache-tomcat-5.5.20\tmpdir

SET org.eclipse.datatools_workspacepath=%java.io.tmpdir%\workspace_dtp

but still the report that I created with JDBC Database Connection for Query Builder can't open with the same error.

SEVERE: Unable to determine the default workspace location. Check your OSGi-less platform configuration of the plugin or datatools workspace path.
