Hi,

I am writing a document and would like to know if the word "workbench" was
deprecated ;-) since it is not appearing on the UI.

TIA,
Marcelo

The FAQ still has a full chapter on it and explains where else it is used

Chapter 9, Generic Workbench

Workbench is an IDE thing though. There is actually a whole plug-in
devoted to it: org.eclipse.ui.workbench

Kinda true,

PlatformUI.getWorkbench() is not IDE specific :)

We refer to the workbench as the code in org.eclipse.ui/workbench.
