Hi there

I am trying to create a a project in Eclipse IDE for Java Developers

i have setup and configured Tomcat server for the eclipse environment

when i try to create my flex project i am unable to see an option for J2EE as the application server type

please can somebody give me a brief description on where I am going wrong.

Part of the answer is probably that the Eclipse package is named Eclipse
IDE for Java EE Developers. You can add the additional plug-ins via Help
-> Eclipse Marketplace. As for the Flex aspect of your question, I
wouldn't know.
