Hi All,
i' a newbie with Acceleo. I would like to install the Ecore to Python code generator, but i get an error:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: Ecore to Python code generator 1.0.0.200902031213 (org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python_feature.feature.group 1.0.0.200902031213)
Missing requirement: Ecore to Python code generator 1.0.0 (org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python 1.0.0) requires 'bundle fr.obeo.acceleo.gen 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Ecore to Python code generator 1.0.0.200902031213 (org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python_feature.feature.group 1.0.0.200902031213)
To: org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python [1.0.0]
A other post says (http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/463174/), this package is only available for Acceleo 2, for version 3.2 it can be installed as well.
Can you help me with this?
Thank you in advance,
Daniel

Hi
Looking at the earlier thread, I suspect that the answer is no; it has
never been upgrdaed to Acceleo 3.

Thanx.
I downloaded a complete Eclipse package with Acceleo 2.7 from (www.acceleo.org/pages/download-acceleo).
I try to start the example python generator: www.acceleo.org/pages/ecore-to-python-generator/en
I did everything, that is on the website. After choosing "Ecore to Python" module, it asks for Ecore Model. For this i select "org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python". But if i start the generaton process (by right-clicking on the default.chain file and Launch), there is just an other problem:
[Resource '/org.acceleo.module.pim.ecore.gen.python/default' does not exist.]
Can you tell me, how to make a simple python code generation?
Thanx again,
Daniel

Hi
I replied before that you should look at the previous thread that
defined this as not working.
If you want it, you should consider doing the port yourself and consider
contributing it back to the community.
Perhaps anyone interested in helping you will comment on this thread.
