Description
Tasktop is looking for dynamic, self-motivated software engineers to join our world-class team developing Tasktop's market leading Tasktop Sync and Tasktop Dev software products. Depending on your skills and aptitude, you may be joining a team that specializes in delivering software connectors that integrate Tasktop's products with third-party software or you may be joining a team that specializes in building high-performance server-side synchronization software. As a software engineer at Tasktop, you will have opportunities to apply your abilities to work with third-party ALM tools and libraries, to work with Tasktop's partners who build those tools and to create a world in which the systems used to deliver software are seamlessly connected.
Your familiarity with multiple operating systems, networking, web architecture, web protocols, XML, JSON, Java, Maven, JUnit, Hudson/Jenkins, virtualization and other technologies will be a platform from which you will help develop and deliver leading software products with world-class teams.
Qualifications
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Experience programming in Java
- Experience in testing modular software systems
- Familiarity with commercial and open source ALM systems such as IBM RTC, HP QC, Bugzilla, Hudson, Git, Gerrit
- Familiarity with using web service APIs
- Knowledge of best practices in software design and development
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional candidates will also have the following qualifications:
- Experience in building OSGi systems, Eclipse Features, Products and p2 repositories
- Experience in building web services and software that uses web services
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mac OS
- Eclipse UI development experience (SWT, Core Eclipse APIs, Team, Mylyn, EGit)
Candidates with 2 or more years of professional experience preferred.
Compensation
We provide competitive salaries, ownership via equity, and health benefits. Compensation will depend on your qualifications, expertise and aptitude.
This preferred location for this position is Tasktop's head office in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Canada. Remote work possibilities exist for exceptional candidates.
