Hi, I'm searching for a long time how to make my own node and
put it in the Nodes field in the Palette.
All the tutorials that I saw, only say the same thing, the basic
how to use the papyrus.
Thanks Very Happy

If you want to create a tool in the palette for a profile stereotype:
- create your uml profile (you can use Papyrus to create a profile). The stereotype must extend a model element, for which there is already a tool in Papyrus.
- load the profile into the uml model, where you want to use the stereotype (select the root "Model" element in the model explorer view. rightclick on the element and load the profile).
- rightclick on the palette and choose "customize" and create the tool for the stereotype (there is a section that is called "stereotype application" or so)

Hi,

You need to "apply" the profile (From the "Profile" tab in the properties view of your UML Model). "Apply" is different from "Import": To use a profile, you need to apply it. To extend a profile, you need to import it.

Regards,
Camille

Hi,
does Customize Palette still work this way currently? I tried in version 2020-03 to add an element in the palette for a profile stereotype I created. I applied the profile to my model, and I could open "Customize Palette", but there was no option to add a new palette, I can only rename the elements:

index.php/fa/37708/0/

Hello Susanne, I am having the same issue as you were concerning the palette customisation. Were you able to fix that?

Thank you!
