Hi guys,

now that EMF Compare 2.1.0 is out, and given some recent improvements we are intested in, I was wondering which is the release schedule for the next release and for the maintenance releases. I assume that ideally the next release would be 2.2.0, and that there will be some 2.1.X maintenance releases.

- Do you already have the release plans for 2.2.0? (when would be each M release out)?
- When will the maintenance relases be out (2.1.1, 2.1.2...)?

Hi Victor,

A recent integration build containing most of your recent change requests, I201307081427, is available at http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/compare/updates/interim/2.1.

Other than that, Kepler SR1 is due the 27th of September and will include a service release of 2.1 containing the fixes we made in the master stream. This is the plan for now, but we have yet to settle the version number for this service release.

Hi Laurent,

thanks for the info (and the I-build). I assume Kepler SR1 is on 27 September 2013 (not June) and that only bugfixes are included (new API and API breakages are excluded, right?).

That was obviously the 27th of September Very Happy edited accordingly.

And even though we do exlude all API breakages from service release, we do sometimes add new APIs when they do not add new features but rather complement the existing ones. We have yet to decide on what to backport from master to 2.1 for the service release though Smile.
