Hi all

Very happy with the recent Release of birt kepler 4.3 designer. Overall Performance is better than Juno version.
My question is:
Is needed to update BIRT POJO Viewer on Tomcat to get all the exciting new features?
If so, how to safely upgrade on a production server?

Thanks in advance

To get the new features, you will have to upgrade your viewer as well, yes. To upgrade, you should just have to switch out the jars in the lib folder. Though, I would copy your current setup to a test location and test this in a non-production environment. You could also just copy in a new copy of the web viewer.

Thanks Michael for your quick response.

would be safe to backup the lib folder, stop tomcat, copy the new jars, start tomcat again?
In case of problems, getting back the older libs to their original location would set everything as if nothing happened ?

thanks again

Yeah. That sounds smart. Did you have any issues?
