Date Widget and others not supported as GRC? [message #1066256] Mon, 01 July 2013 17:52 Go to next message

I have posted this bug a while ago on the GUIdancer forum. The DateWidget and others had some
basic support in the past GUIdancer releases. In the 7.x release, object mapping is still working but simple
test cases like click into GRC will fail with a configuration error.

Is the fix for this problem in the actual GUIdancer/Jubula release or will it come in the future?

Thanks

I've encountered this issue too. Object mapping of date widget works fine, but clickInComponent and clickLeft_single fail with a configuration error.

Jubula version 2.0.0
Windows Vista Business 32-bit
RCP AUT

Cheers

Hi,

The bug was fixed for the 7.1 release. If there are remaining issues, please reopen the ticket.

Thanks for the update. I've upgraded to Jubula 7.1 but unfortunately the issue still occurs.

Steps I took:

1) Export project from Jubula 2.0.
2) Install Jubula 7.1 standalone full version: Windows 32-bit installer.
3) Import project into Jubula 7.1.
4) Run very basic test (checking AUT version number, just a menu selection and a label text comparison) to ensure it's working. Success.
5) Make new Object Mapping of a date widget in the AUT. Widget maps as a Graphics Component.
6) Make new minimal test case to click (ub_grc_clickLeft_single) in date widget.
7) Run test case; fails with Configuration Error.

Is there a fault with my method? If not let me know and I'll reopen the ticket.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

It sounds like something may have not been correctly migrated. Did you follow all the migration steps from the installation manual when you updated to Jubula 2.0?

Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

You're correct, it was a migration issue. I had not updated the RCP remote control plugin org.eclipse.jubula.rc.rcp_$VERSION.jar from the Jubula 2.0 to the Jubula 7.1 version. Working fine now.

Thanks,
Mike
