[Texo] How to know attributes of an object in order to make update/insert requests? [message #1063808] Fri, 14 June 2013 10:51 Go to next message

I'm thinking of the following usage scenario (based on the standard Library Example):
1. User sees a webpage where e.g. all 'Books' are displayed
--> At the beginning there may be none
2. User clicks on a Button "Add Book", now I have to know what attributes and or references there are that a Book can possibly have so I can display UI for the user to insert all these features.

How would I get this kind of information?

Hi Micha,
So you can render the UI dynamically on the client you mean?

Currently there is no webservice to get model information. But I think it really makes sense to also have this.

Can you enter a bugzilla for it?

Hello Martin,

thanks for the reply, I added a Bugzilla. This is helpful if you want to make an HTML UI independently from your texo project. For example solely client based with javascript or another server project that is independent from the Texo project. Or is there a way to achieve this already?

Best regards,
Micha
