Eclipse 4.2 (Helios) taking long time to open in Fedora 18 [message #1060525]

hi, I have installed eclipse using 'yum install eclipse*' in Fedora 18. Also I have updated java to version 1.7 (which was done using the command 'yum install java*'), assuming that to be the reason for slowdown of eclipse. But still I face the same problem and it takes about 10 minutes to open eclipse. Any comments?

Is Helios or Eclipse 4.2 (Juno)? Try to download the one from eclipse.org and see if it gets better.

sorry, It was 'Juno' and not 'Helios'.

Hi,
which version of Eclipse are you using? The subject says "Eclipse 4.2
(Helios)", which does not make sense.
4.2 = Juno

have you tested it with a fresh workspace, just to prevent there is
something wrong with your old workspace...
