Hello,

I cannot delete a Job in Hudson.
I have the following message :
"Checking if the job can be deleted .."
but the job is never deleted

Can anyone help me?

This forum answers questions on installing and using the Eclipse IDE.
Hudson is an Oracle product whose support is found elsewhere.

Hudson is an Eclipse Project, which means it has its own forum as well (assuming no one follows up here). That forum can be found at http://eclipse.org/forums/eclipse.hudson .

Where i can find this log?? Hudson is deployed with Tomcat.

There is no info within the log about the "delete" action.

If that is the case, there may be some javascript error. Can you check through browser console to see if any javascript error reported. I usually use Firebug on Firefox.

I just saw the same issue. The dialog showed red "Could not delete ..", but no log. I looked at the XHR Request/Response via Firebug and there was an exception sent by server (but dialog was not displaying). Turned out the thin backup plugin did not let the job folder to be deleted. So the error message. The dialog should be much more explanatory. Could you file a bug at

Are you not able to delete any of the jobs or just this one job. In the error message you send I see

404 - /job/toto/2/api/json

Looks like build 2 of job toto is not found. So I'm not sure if this error message is related to job delete.
