i want the parameter mandatory option to go away.
when i dont select any value from the list it should give all the values present for that report.
is there any way to disable the mandatory option?

please help...
its really very urgent...

You can set a default value to "All" and check the value in your beforeOpen of your dataSet and modify your query. Or, you can uncheck the isRequired box in your parameter editor and then do the same type of beforeOpen script. If you'd like a simple example, let me know your BIRT version.

BIRT Report Designer Version is 4.2.2

alresdy tried unchecking isRequired box, but it does not work.

Take a look at this report. I included both options. Look in the before open script of each table's dataSet.
