I have a chart with day of week groupings based on a group value. The data displays correctly but the days of the week are alphabetical (Friday, Monday ..) rather than day of week order. The Sort button on the x-axis category is disabled so I can't sort on the value needed.

What did I do to disable the sort, and how can I get it back or get them into the correct order?

I am using 3.7.2

Can you recreate this with the sample database so I can see your setup?

BIRT apparently didn't like the aggregation I was using. I switched to the aggregation tool and got the ability to sort the data properly.
