I currently have the Eclipse C++ version working on my machine, and would like to now add the Java version. The download site shows downloads for the complete Java IDE but I do not see any downloads for just the Java plugin! Or maybe I'm missing something. Any info on how to install the plugin and how to switch between the two plugins once the Java plugin is added would also be of help.

You install additional plugins using the Help->Install New Software menu item. This allows you to add the Java development tools to the C++ version. You don't need to switch between plugins. They will all be available following the installation.
