No, this is Usage 101.
Go to Window -> Show View -> Problems. Then grab the tab of the newly
appearing view and drop it into whichever pane most suits you (for most
of us, and this is probably where it will appear anyway, that would be
the bottom pane).
As for user interface, you should probably contemplate the sheer scope
of developer solutions hosted by Eclipse before making too many hard and
fast assumptions. For example, Android development isn't specifically
planned for by Eclipse. It's a set of plug-ins and behaviors implemented
atop Eclipse by an entirely separate community. (And supported by that
community, if you must know: please read the sticky posts at the top of
this forum.)
You may have accidentally dismissed that view (or the Markers view) by
closing it. Of course, this depends a lot on the package you chose to
download, which you did not name in your question.
