Hi Guys,

I'm quite new to birt. I have to generate reports based on a SQL query.
For instance the SQL retrieves data based on a restaurant name and a set of dates.

Can I create parameters that change the query based on the selection made?

You can use parameters http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/examples/reports/parameters/

You can send query using Report paramters or uisng script on beforeopen dataset event in Report.
