I have a question about Xtext.
As shown in the 5 minutes tutorial, after getting preliminary support for a new language, the source file is still need to be created by manually add the extension and under project of other types.

Will it be possible to create a new type of project(your own type)? and will it be possible to automatically add file extension when a file is created within such project?

I am not sure about this since I just get to know Xtext and hope the community will help me out.

simply uncommenting

fragment = projectWizard.SimpleProjectWizardFragment auto-inject {
    		      generatorProjectName = "${projectName}"

in the workflow does the trick.
you may have to merge (copy) plugin.xml_gen to plugin.xml in the ui project.

you can adopt

Here's a pretty good tutorial on how to create a new project wizard.

You might want to customize the one XText provides or create your own entirely.
