The first issue is simply that Eclipse doesn't output the stdout to the console if there are any command line arguments.

I'm setting these arguments in Run/Run Configurations/Arguments, and even if the program is literally a one line hello world, Eclipse will not display it if there is something in the arguments box.

Secondly, how do you get Eclipse to read the stdin from a text file instead of the console?
