MTJ currently does not have any code to help you.
You are looking for org.eclipse.jdt.launching.j9 in the eclipse project.
You can see the code at
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.jdt.lau nching.j9/
and can follow the eclipse instructions to download and build it. I
don't know where it is provided in binary format.
Once you have this fragment in your workbench, you will be able to add
J9 VMs into eclipse.
For more information you can look at

Until MTJ has the function you need, you may also want to consider
EclipseME (http://eclipseme.org).
