HI,Experts

recently one of our customers met a performance issue regarding birt report. when they tried to start a report, it could cost quite a long time for parameter window to appear. i tried to use http watch to locate what's consuming the most time but not doing it yet.

So hope any one could share some tips or ideas for this and much thanks in advance.

Regards
Steven

Are any of the parameters dynamic? Are they tied to a query that is running long?

Hi, Jason

Thanks for your reply.

here is the situation:

1) most of the reports should not be tied to a query running long.
2) the parameter should be dynamic with a list of parameters which could be chose by end users.

Regards
Steven

What version of BIRT are they using and how are they displaying the reports (ie are they using the Viewer)?
