Hi,

I got this exception while WebViewer plugin was started. I use Eclipse BiRT 4.2.1 runtime as a target platform with Eclipse Juno.

But everything works fine - report is able to view with WebViewer, export etc.

Has anybody the similar problem with birt?

Hi,

if you start an e4 RCP you cannot call the PlatformUI.getWorkbench() method, because it does not create one. If you want to use PlatformUI.getWorkbench() you have to start the application as an e3 application.

Best regards
Bastian

Hi Bastian,

sorry for my late reply and many thanks for your one. The PlatformUI.getWorkbench(); is called somewhere inside the WebViewer.startup(); method

Is there any other possibility how to start BiRT WebViewer in my e4 RCP application without getting this Workbench exception?
