We are migrating from TopLink 10.1.3 to EclipseLink 2.3.3 .

Our load testing has shown that EclipseLink is slower and that it scales badly with the number of concurent threads. The attached screenshot shows the test case execution times with EclipseLink and TopLink with the same logging level (FINE) and EclipseLink with logging turned off.

Is anybody aware of any differences between TopLink and EclipseLink that would help explain these figures.

In general EclipseLink 2.3 should be significantly faster and scale better than TopLink 10.1.3.

I'm not sure what you numbers show or mean, or what your tests do. In general performance numbers should not be obtained with logging on fine.
