Hello,

In the specification "Business Process Model and Notation" OMG Document Number: formal/2011-01-03, which represents the official and standard specification of BPMN2.0,
Message Flow connection rules were clearly specified and can be summerized in Table 7.4.

One of these rules is that a pool can be connected to a subProcess via a message flow, but in the BPMN 2.0 Modeler this is not possible.

why this is not possible? is it a bug?
if its not a bug, on what specification are you based on?

Thanks in advance,
HB

Hi Hassan,

Yep, this looks like an oversight. Can you please file a bug report here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=BPMN2Modeler
If there are other connection rules that have been overlooked, please include them in the bug report as well.

FYI, I am actually looking at this area of the editor right now (and fixing bugs with Message Flows) so this is good timing Smile

Cheers,
Bob
