The VE treats initialize() in a special way. But I can't figure out exactly how or why.
What is special about initialize()? When should I put code in the constructor, and when should I put code in initialize()?

Is there a book that explains the whole VE?

Thanks,
Eli

P.S.
Thanks to Yves Yang for answering my other questions so well!
