Hi,
in Crosstab I want to incorporate Year/Quarter-wise report. Now our financial year start from 1st April of the running year to 31st march of the next year. For example if Our Finacial year is 2012-13,then it starts from 1st april-2012 to 31st march 2013 and 1st quarter starts from 1st april-2012 and last quarter ends in 31st march 2013.But in BIRT report year is from jan to dec and quarter is also starts from January. So can u plese guide us how to implement our yearly/quarterly report in BIRT/Crosstab.

Create computed columns to create your groupings, rather than using the auto groupings. That should allow you to do what you're wanting. Let me know your BIRT version, if you need an example.

Create computed columns to create your groupings, rather than using the auto groupings. That should allow you to do what you're wanting. Let me know your BIRT version, if you need an example.

Sorry for the delay. I was off for the holiday. I'll get an example made, right now.

Take a look at this report design. There are two computed columns in the dataSet to create the new cube groups with. The top crosstab shows the original setup with the default groups. The second one shows what it looks like using the computed fields.
