Hi,

if my Eclipse (Juno) runs for a while the CPU usage of the X-Server process goes up to 100%. As soon as i shutdown Eclipse the cpu usage returns to normal.

I'm using KDE 4 on Ubuntu 12/10.

I've used a Java profiler to monitor the Eclipse process but since the CPU utilization is done by another process it didn't help much.

Has anyone any suggestions how to solve this problem?

It seems the cause of the problem was the KDE-gtk Theme which is used by the default Kubuntu installation. After I had changed the KDE gtk theme to qtcurve in the KDE system settings it worked.

Thanks for lettings us know about your solution.

I, too, found some bugs which happen only with the gtk theme (oxygen-gtk to be precise), and switched to qtcurve long ago. No complaints from this front since then.

cheers,
Stephan
