Hallo,
I have a problem in Eclipse 4.2.1 SDK with WTP 3.4.1 installed.
Content assist for java code always tells me
that "content assist is not available at the current location".
There arent any errors in the .metdata/log file.
Validation for JSP file also only delivers HTML errors not java errors.

The web project the jsp files reside in is a Dynamic Web Module 2.3.
Java facet is set to version 1.5 and the projects containing the java code are in the build and deployment path of the web project.

I am pretty sure this setup worked in earlier eclipse because i filed a bug on it.

Any help on this matter is appreciated

Are you able to write a traditional Java Servlet in this project and get content assist when editing it? Do you have a Java Source Folder in this project? Which bug report were you referring to?

No I didnt have a source folder in my project because it contained no compilable java sources. All my servlet classes were in java projects that were refered in the web project. Creating a source folder solved my problem. I now have content assist in the JSP.

The bug is not really relevant to this problem. It was just a reason why I am sure that I had content assist before.
