Hello

I have installed and used Eclipse in the past, but this is a fresh installation with the Android sdk plugin.

Whenever I open Eclipse, I get this message:

An internal error occurred during: "Task List Indexer".
For input string: "1-Guy-PC"

While Guy-PC is the name of my computer.
After that the program seems to continue normally, but I would like to fix the issue anyway.
Googling the error message retrieved very few and irrelevant results.

Does anyone here know what that means and how to fix it ?

Thanks

Guy

Helo I have similar problem when I start eclipse.
An internal error occurred during: "Task List Indexer".
For input string: "Kama-Pc conflicted copy"

I fix it in folder C:\Users\"User"\Documents\workspace\.metadata\.mylyn\.taskListIndex
I find file "Kama-Pc conflicted copy" and I delete it.

You can find file 1-Guy-PC in folder .metadata in workspace where are all settings for eclipse workspace and you can remove it from this folder.-better is only move file to other folder for back up Smile

Thank you for the message. It helped.

I had the same issue, but I had no 'conflicting copy'. I just renamed the file and it worked. Mylyn is still functioning, it just recreated the folder.

I don't have .metadata\.mylyn\.taskListIndex on my kepler system.

I can no longer do searches in task list find field.
I get:

'Refresh Filter' has encountered a problem.
An internal error has occurred.
For input string: "My MacBook Pro.gen"

help please.

I fixed this by changing mylyn task lists folder location in preferences and imported old task lists.
This worked , got rid of error messages for both start up and find field in Task Lists, so I copied folder back to my original location, whew! back to normal.
