Only having folders inside the director you pointed your eclipse too is
not enough. You need to tell Eclipse about them by using "Import >
Existing Projects in to Workspace"
BTW: Make yourself familiar with a VCS like Subversion, Git or Mercurial
so that you don't lose stuff whatever happens.
