Hello everyone!
My teacher has posted a tutorial on how to grab projects from git and build them in my PC.
In the video, he goes to file > import > git > projects from git, then he pastes the url and clicks clone...

In my screen however there is no clone or add buttons... Am i missing something here ???

Also I have a newer version than the one in the vid..

I would suggest either doing the clone from the command line or posting
in the Eclipse eGit forum for help.

http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/User_Guide#Starting_from_existing_Git_Repositories (and some of what comes earlier on that page) should help.

Do you get this dialog box, though? Have you installed the eGit
plug-ins? It will be helpful (yeah, do this in the eGit forum) for you
to include an image of what you're (not) seeing.

Best of luck,

Russ

You are working with a newer version of Eclipse. The work flow is
slightly different. It clones repositories automatically when you
import from a URI. Select URI on the dialog you posted and click Next.
Fill in the repository information and click Next again. Select the
branches to clone. Click Next. Select the location where the repository
should be cloned. Click Next. Select Import existing projects. Click
Next. Select the projects to import and click Finish.

Hi and thanks for replying!

I think I have managed to clone it by following the process and ticking the existing (this time).
Ok, now I can see it all, navigate and make changes to the code but the build button is grayed out. When I go to compile it says there are no previous launches.

Any ideas ?

(My teacher isn't very helpfull and i don't know where to turn.. Little problems like these need to be solved in order for me to get on with my work. So I really appreciate for any help. )

I would suggest you go through the Tutorials in the Help provided by
Eclipse. The Java Development User Guide has a basic tutorial that goes
over the development process of using Eclipse.
