Hello everybody, how are you?

I'm working on a Papyrus project, and I need to use some stereotypes. But, somehow, after saving, if a close and reopen Eclipse (or even the model), I lose all my stereotypes Sad

At least, I don't lose any other information in the models

I really don't know what to do anymore, so, I'm here asking for some help. What can I do?

Thank you for reading.

Hi, Paulo,

Do you mean that you are losing the applications of stereotypes to
elements in a model that has the profile applied to it?

Is the profile dynamically defined (embedded Ecore package definition)
or is it statically generated?

Do you see the stereotype instances in the XMI serialization of your
model, or are they not there?

Do you control any of the packages in your model? (storing them in
separate resources) If so, are you perhaps not loading the resource
that contains the stereotype applications?

HTH,

Christian

Hi, Christian

Yes, I'm losing the applied stereotypes (the stereotypes that I add in "profiles").

As I'm not experient with the software, so, I'll describe what I did:

- First, I created a Sysml project
- Then, I imported a file system with some projects and I used then
- After, a applied a profile in another model, and so, I applied all stereotypes in the profiles I wanted to.
- Finishing, after I saved and quited, everytime I reopen it, I lose all my aplied stereotypes. The funny thing is that the profile is still applied to the model.

I tried even to reinstall Eclipe Juno.

Really grateful for the help,
Paulo

Hi, Paulo,

Is the profile that you're having trouble with in a *.uml file in the
workspace? Or is it deployed in a plug-in?Is it a root element of the
*.uml file?

Is the profile dynamically defined, meaning that its Ecore EPackage
definition is embedded within it, or is it statically defined, meaning
that it is generated to Java code and registered with EMF?

In the UML model that loses the stereotype applications, do you still
see them in the XMI if you open the model in a text editor? Or are
they actually deleted? You didn't answer about whether the model is
all in one resource, or whether some packages are "controlled".

If you can provide a sample of the profile and model that are having
difficulties, and/or answer these questions, we might be able to help.

Cheers,

Christian
