Hi,

I just got a assignment from may manager saying that we should setup some sort of measurement for Eclipse, the measurement should be end-user measurement.
I work with monitoring and measurements, so that did not sound difficult... Now I am trying to understand what Eclipse dose and how it works, but cant find any good information.

I need some assistants from anyone, what is a good way to measure the performance and availability of Eclipse?
We have VuGen scripts that emulates end users (click by click), we have server monitoring, we have network monitoring that we could use for a specific URL.
We have the tools, but don't know what and how we should monitor is.

I appreciate any feedback from anyone!

The real measurement of Eclipse is that simply the vast majority of Java
applications are written using Eclipse as the integrated development
environment (IDE). There are alternatives, one or two very good, but
serious, professional developers use Eclipse for Java.

There are huge communities of Eclipse users for other languages as well,
in particular, C/C++, PHP and JavaScript.
