Hi

I'm very interested in to generate SMM models.
MoDisco already supports SMM ?

I have read about SMM with Modisco in this Forum, but the messages are old...

Hello,

MoDisco provides you a ready-to-use implementation in EMF Ecore of the SMM specification.
It is contained within the org.eclipse.modisco.omg.smm plugin.
This implementation can be directly reused for any other purposes (e.g. model transformations).

Hi Hugo,

I have seen the SMM plugin, but, this plugin only allow to create SMM instances in java code or also generate a XMI based on SMM metamodel ?

Hello,

MoDisco does not currently provide a specific editor for SMM models.
However, if needed, it can be generated using the corresponding base EMF feature.
Also, the MoDisco Model Browser can be used to edit existing SMM models (cf. MoDisco reference documentation).

Hugo, as you surely recall, we have produced an SMM editor for Modisco
and proposed to share it, but those discussions never went anywhere.

Hello Alain,

Actually, we were and are still thinking such an editor would be a good contribution to MoDisco.
The corresponding discussion has been stopped a bit more than one year ago, due to a lack of available resources at the time I suppose.
But if you want to, we can of course reactivate it (I've found back the emails thread Smile

).
