I don't see it often, once a month or so, and its always after I've been
"flying around" clicking lots of things, hitting lots of keys, so figure
I just some how accidentally hit "cntl-something-or-other" ... but I
always just use "reset perspective" and all goes back go normal
(including what ever changes I had customized into that perspective".
So, my point is, if you open a bug, be sure to say if "reset" is not
working as you expect, or if your changes to customization are not being
saved across reset, or whatever.
Good luck,

Wow, I can say that in 6-7 years of Eclipse use, I've never seen this
either. (I've always downloaded Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers.)
Bad karma, man.

Funny. Yeah, I've felt jinxed alright. I also use intelliJ and I prefer that IDE, but too many books and also code on the Internet are done with eclipse.
