I am (for the first time) building an RCP app, and for a while now i have been doing BDD using cucumber.

From what i could understand, there is a need to put the tests in a new plugin and define a special test launcher in order to run SWTBot test, which i am not really sure how to do with cucumber since so far i only run the tests either from command line\maven or by using the JUnit extension which allows running Cucumber features using the JUnit runner.

After searching for a while, I could find references about the fact that SWTBot working with cucumber but could not find any tutorial or example. There is one dead link in the SWTBot wiki.

if SWTBot does work with cucumber, Could someone refer me to any tutorial or example?

Thanks,
Elad.

I'd blogged about this a long time ago. My blog has since been offline, but I managed to get this out for you:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3BcimDCOkXoaVN6XzAtZTNIQ0k

The cucumber plugin that the blog references is available here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3BcimDCOkXoS2ZVeVFSYzFtelU. You will need to click file>download to download this onto your computer.

This may not work out-of-the-box so you may need to tweak the cucumber or jruby plugin.

Although this thread is very old and the provided links seems to be dead, I want to refresh it with new information.

I created a project providing an OSGI patch of the cucumber project plus runnable RCP example.
Hope this helps others searching for similar solutions.

Best regards, Heiko
