Dear all,

In response to the Eclipse Model-to-Text (M2T) Transformation Project
Proposal, Compuware would like to join the Eclipse Model-to-Text M2T
project. In particular we would like to contribute an implementation of the
new OMG MM2T standard to the project.

The OMG MM2T specification has recently become an adopted specification by
the OMG, and is now in the finalization phase (like QVT).

Kind Regards,

Arjan Kok.

Arjan:

The M2T proposal anticipated the inclusion of OMG MM2T at some later date
(we called it the OMG MOF to Text proposal). That this date may be at hand
is good news.

A few questions for you:

* At what stage is your implementation?
* Does it support EMF as a MOF implementation?
* How do you anticipate supporting the on-going maintenance and enhancement
of MM2T?

We plan to start with the implementation in December 2006.

Yes!

We will support the on-going maintenance and enhancement of MM2T. The
implementation will be available in our commercial product (OptimalJ) as
well.

I hope we can contribute the OMG MM2T language to this project right from
the start.
