If you clicked on a java file and did popup menu->Open With-> Does the
Visual Editor show up in that list?

ve is now working.

Don't do -clean if you can help it. This is only for when updating
during development OUTSIDE of the update manager. If you use the update
manager do not do -clean.

the context menu for existing java files and I can create a new visual
class. But if I try to open a file in ve I get 2 errors and no editor
appears, although a tab for the file that says "Visual Editor" is created.
Clicking on the tab generates 2 more similar errors.

Don't do -clean if you can help it. This is only for when updating
during development OUTSIDE of the update manager. If you use the update
