Dependency graph tool? [message #953819] Mon, 22 October 2012 15:01 Go to next message

I desperately need a tool to show the dependencies of my project. The cryptic messages in the Virgo log don't really help resolving issues. Sometimes you just know that you specify a version of a bundle in your manifest, and it conflicts with some other thing asking for a different version of the same bundle. It would be rather helpful if the log would state which exact 'other thing' is causing the troubles ...

The Virgo tooling might be helpful in helping you to determine these dependencies. See http://www.eclipse.org/virgo/documentation/virgo-documentation-3.6.0.M01/docs/virgo-tooling-guide/html/ch05s04.html.

For a runtime solution, the 3.6.0 release of Virgo will include a new web admin console. See this blog post for details of the graphical bundles explorer. http://codewax.org/eclipse-rt/new-web-admin-console-in-virgo/

Yes, when a resolution failure occurs during deployment, Virgo takes a state dump which can then be viewed using the web admin console. In Virgo 3.6.0, this includes the graphical explorer.
