Listen to Agent Control View "Set" check box [message #133071] Wed, 23 July 2008 06:17 Go to next message

Hi again,

is there a way to listen in an agent to the commands sent when the "Set"
check box in the agent controller view is checked?
I am looking for a way to let the user decide, what should be displayed
and then starting to send statistical data from the agent.
I cannot send the data for every descriptor, because I got roughly half
a million descriptors. :-)
Thanks in advance

jonas

Hi Jonas,

Could you please provide more information about what you are trying to do?
When you talk about the 'Set' checkbox in the AC view, which AC view were
you referring to? Are you using the statistical agent extension?

Hi,

I'd like to write a statistical agent that starts sending snapshot
observations if the user selects the corresponding descriptor for
display in the "Statistical Graph" using the "Agent Control" view of the
statistical as-is component.
The "Agent Control" view is the tree view of the descriptors provided by
the agent.
Still any information missing?
thx

I found out, how to do the things I wanted to do.
I had a close look on the packages
org.eclipse.hyades.perfmon
and org.eclipse.hyades.statistical_ui in the TPTP 4.4.1 release.
I could apply the code from the perfmon agent to my needs.
If anyone is interested in doing a similar thing, just contact me.
